Dawn Delights Platter
Meticulously detailed hand-built stoneware platter, featuring yellow tailed black cockatoos amongst banksia foliage.
Majestic and magical, their screech fills our valley long before they are seen. Then they appear, flashing their spectacular yellow tail feathers and bringing with them their gift of rain.
Yellow tailed black cockatoos have become a signature design for Art After Dusk and feature prolifically in Bessie’s work.
Hand-sculpted, showcasing fine details carved from stoneware clay. This platter is a one of a kind and beautifully captures the essence of these magnificent birds and their environment.
Photographs are taken to showcase all items from different angles, capturing each artwork as realistically as possible, however, colours may vary from on-screen viewing and look different in different light.
“My ceramic work is not perfect but contained within each piece, is a piece of me. Each tiny mark, each small flaw and imperfection represents the ideas, inspiration and dreams that are embedded within the story of its creation.”
These elements do not detract from the final product and should be embraced and celebrated as part of its unique and handmade process.
Approximate length 38cm, width 19cm.
